News and Events

SD West 2007
On Friday, March 23rd, Michael, Jonathan and Nevin presented their short course, Effective Prototyping for Software Makers, for the second straight year at SD West 2007 to an audience of about 100 software developers. This conference was held at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California.

This course presented prototyping best practices to help the practitioner in their prototyping activities. It featured hands-on prototyping by the audience. This topic was presented in three parts, 1) an overview of prototyping, 2) prototyping best practices, and 3) demonstration of prototype creation using Excel as a practical, at hand rapid prototyping tool. The course looked at prototyping from both a strategic and tactical level. The audience learned to analyze prototyping opportunities within the software creation process with greater strategic thrust and tactical precision.

Immediately following the course, Michael, Jonathan, and Nevin participated in a signing session of their new book, Effective Prototyping for Software Makers, at the conference's Digital Guru Bookstore.

For more information about this course, check the SD West 2007 web site.
